A young man went out to a field, with his younger brother, to talk.  Then while they were out in the field, the older brother killed his younger brother.

The first murder.  How many times have we heard it.  Cain and Abel, the first children to play in the sunshine, to run in the green grass... the first children to fight.  Adam and Eve had the perfect relationship with one another, while they were in Eden. But, that to was no more when they sinned, how strange it must have been to argue with each other, let alone to see their children do the same.  Cain and Abel probably played together in that field.  The Bible does not tell us how old Cain and Abel were, when Cain killed Abel, nor why Cain killed Abel,  but they things do not matter, what matters is that Cain killed his brother.
